Srahmore, County Mayo

The Banshee is still believed in by certain families in Shramore [sic].
The Banshee is an omen of an approaching death.
It is believed locally that the banshee cries for two local families in Shramore, namely the Conways and the McManamons.
The same two families are notable for hearing the banshee, or seeing funerals.
It is believed in other parts of the districts adjoining that the banshee also follows the Mc.s and the O.s, such as McDonnells, the O'Donnells, and O'Malleys.
