The bannshee cried for old Johnie Blaney of Ballykinard. One night Mrs Blaney and Miss Kelly and Bridget Blaney of the Ross were coming along the road at the Ross lane beside Blaney's garden. They hear three terrible lonely cries, they ran home the whole road that night, they nearly fainted. It was about four or five nights before Johnie Blaney died.
